MMO Minion Goes Beta

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I’ve  been a huge fan of automated addon updaters since the days of the WoWAce updater. I was deeply saddened when they stopped the service over at WoWAce , and quickly looked for a replacement

Introducing WoWSoup.net

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

I’m excited to announce what I hope can become anther staple in the community, much like we have here at DK.info, the release of a new WoW community and news site: WoWSoup.net WoWSoup will be a community driven website that focuses on player blogs and player content, as well as daily tidbits of WoW news. At some point, I hope to roll out a ad revenue sharing program to reward expectional bloggers. We are still very much in “beta” mode.

“Ghetto” Hearthing Actually Did Get Nerfed

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

A few days ago I noticed a blue response to an off the wall thread in the official forums that asked for “ghetto hearthing” to be nerfed. The thread was, of course, started by a mage that claimed that the exploiting of the free hearth cost him/her gold because people didn’t need ports anymore… Eyonix responded with what seemly looked like a sarcastic way of blowing off the subject: Eyonix But then mages who hate being asked for ports will make rant posts demanding we bring back ghetto hearthing. Mages like to yell.

Dual Spec Level Lowered to 40, Can Be Swapped Anywhere!

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

Still lots of 3.1 info to sort through, but a very exciting change to dual spec was announced today by CM Zarhym. Apparently the level requirement will be lowered to 40, lexicon requirement removed, and will only take a 5 second, out of combat, cast time to swap. Zarhym Dual specialization isn’t something everyone needs.
